Old Spinnakers wanted please...
As part of Weymouth's Spirit of the Sea festival (4-12 July), students from Budmouth Technology College are planning to design and build 1,000 kites using the cloth from old and unwanted spinnakers.
The designs will reflect a Jurassic Coast theme and 1,000 pupils from the Budmouth school and elsewhere will attempt to fly them from Weymouth beach.
At present the designers have a shortage of spinnakers, so if you have an old one you are happy to part with they'd be pleased to hear from you. Please phone Marcel Ciantar at the college on 01305 830505."
